Where a record draws on another source, that source is credited on the record itself.

You are welcome to share links to any record, and to quote briefly from the research for education, journalism, or personal study, with clear attribution to Roots and Relics by Moyo and a link to the record.

Republishing whole records, or using the photography commercially, requires permission. Please ask first.

This archive documents oral histories and community knowledge. Accounts of the same events sometimes differ between families and communities, and research continues after publication.

Records are updated as new information is verified. If you find something inaccurate, incomplete, or wrongly attributed, please tell us — corrections from the communities concerned are welcome and valued.

Comments are not open yet. When they are, they will be moderated, and we will remove content that is abusive, misleading, or disrespectful to the communities and people documented here.
